Young Italy
Young Italy was a political movement founded in 1831 by the Italian nationalist and revolutionary Giuseppe Mazzini. Its primary goal was to promote the unification of Italy and establish a democratic republic. Mazzini believed in the importance of national identity and sought to inspire young Italians to fight for their country's independence from foreign rule.
The movement attracted many young activists and intellectuals who shared Mazzini's vision. Young Italy played a significant role in the broader Italian unification process, known as the Risorgimento, which ultimately led to the establishment of the Kingdom of Italy in 1861.
