Yolande of Aragon
Yolande of Aragon was a Spanish noblewoman born in 1381, known for her influential role in the politics of medieval France. She was the daughter of John I of Aragon and Eleanor of Alburquerque. In 1400, she married Louis II of Anjou, which strengthened ties between the Aragonese and French nobility.
Yolande played a significant part in the Hundred Years' War, supporting the French cause. She was a key figure in promoting the claim of Charles VII to the French throne, and her efforts helped pave the way for his eventual coronation in 1429. Yolande died in 1442, leaving a lasting legacy.
