Yolŋu
The Yolŋu are an Indigenous Australian people primarily located in the northeastern part of the Northern Territory. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes unique languages, art, and traditional practices. The Yolŋu speak several languages, with Djambatj and Gumatj being among the most prominent.
Yolŋu culture is deeply connected to the land and their ancestral stories, known as Songlines. These stories guide their relationship with the environment and are integral to their identity. The Yolŋu are also recognized for their contributions to contemporary Australian art, particularly through bark painting and weaving.
