Yang Hui
Yang Hui was a Chinese mathematician from the 13th century, known for his contributions to mathematics during the Song Dynasty. He is best recognized for his work on Pascal's Triangle, which he referred to as the "triangle of coefficients." His writings included methods for solving polynomial equations and calculating binomial coefficients.
In addition to his work on combinatorics, Yang Hui also made advancements in geometry and numerical methods. His most famous text, the "Yang Hui Suan Fa," compiled various mathematical techniques and problems, influencing future generations of mathematicians in China and beyond.
