Xanthos-Letoon
Xanthos-Letoon is an archaeological site located in southwestern Turkey, known for its significant ruins from the ancient Lycia region. The site includes the remains of the ancient city of Xanthos, which was a major center for the Lycian civilization, and the nearby sanctuary of Letoon, dedicated to the goddess Leto and her children, Apollo and Artemis.
Both sites are recognized for their impressive monuments, including rock-cut tombs and temples, showcasing the unique architectural style of the Lycians. In 1988, Xanthos-Letoon was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, highlighting its cultural and historical importance.
