World Pool-Billiard Association
The World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) is the international governing body for the sport of pool and billiards. Established in 1987, the WPA oversees the rules and regulations of various cue sports, including eight-ball, nine-ball, and ten-ball. It aims to promote the sport globally and ensure fair play among players.
The WPA organizes major tournaments and championships, such as the World Pool Championship and the World Nine-ball Championship. It also works to develop the sport at grassroots levels, supporting local federations and encouraging participation in cue sports worldwide.
