Witkacy
Witkacy, also known as Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, was a Polish playwright, painter, and philosopher, born in 1885. He is best known for his avant-garde theatre and unique artistic style, which combined elements of expressionism and surrealism. His works often explore themes of identity, reality, and the human condition, reflecting his interest in psychology and philosophy.
In addition to his theatrical contributions, Witkacy was an accomplished painter, creating numerous portraits and abstract works. He developed a distinctive technique called "theory of pure form," emphasizing the emotional impact of color and composition.
