Wish Bone
The term "Wish Bone" refers to a forked bone found in birds, particularly in turkeys and chickens. Traditionally, two people pull on either end of the bone while making a wish, and the person who ends up with the larger piece is said to have their wish granted. This custom is often associated with Thanksgiving celebrations in the United States.
In addition to its cultural significance, the wish bone is also known scientifically as the furcula. It plays a role in the bird's anatomy by providing structural support during flight. The wish bone is a unique feature that distinguishes birds from other animals.
