Wirangu
The Wirangu are an Indigenous Australian people from the western part of South Australia. They traditionally inhabited the coastal areas and nearby islands, particularly around the Nullarbor Plain and the Eyrewool Peninsula. Their culture is rich in storytelling, art, and connection to the land, which plays a vital role in their identity.
The Wirangu language is part of the Yuwaalayaay language family, although it is now considered endangered. Efforts are being made to revive and preserve the language and cultural practices. The Wirangu people continue to advocate for their rights and recognition, maintaining their connection to their ancestral lands and traditions.
