Winifred Atwell
Winifred Atwell was a talented pianist and composer from Trinidad and Tobago, born on February 27, 1910. She gained fame in the 1950s for her unique style of playing the piano, often incorporating elements of classical music and calypso. Atwell was the first Black woman to have a number one hit in the UK charts with her rendition of "The Poor People of Paris."
