Winding
Winding refers to the process of creating a coil or spiral shape by wrapping a material around a core or along a path. This technique is commonly used in various applications, such as in the production of electrical components like inductors and transformers, where wire is wound around a magnetic core to create a magnetic field.
In addition to electrical applications, winding is also used in crafts and manufacturing. For example, yarn can be wound into balls or skeins for easier handling, while springs are made by winding metal wire into a coiled shape to store mechanical energy.
