William Morris Hunt
William Morris Hunt was an American painter born on March 31, 1824, in Vermont. He is best known for his contributions to the Hudson River School of landscape painting and for his portraits. Hunt studied in Europe, where he was influenced by the works of the French Barbizon School and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
Hunt played a significant role in the American art scene during the 19th century. He was a founding member of the Boston Art Club and taught many aspiring artists. His works often depicted serene landscapes and intimate portraits, showcasing his mastery of light and color. Hunt passed away on September 8, 1879.
