Wildebeest
Wildebeest, also known as gnu, are large herbivorous mammals native to the grasslands and savannas of Africa. They belong to the antelope family and are known for their distinctive curved horns and robust bodies. There are two main species: the black wildebeest and the blue wildebeest. These animals are social creatures, often found in large herds that can number in the thousands.
Wildebeest are famous for their annual migration, where they travel in search of fresh grazing grounds and water. This migration is part of the larger Great Migration, which also includes zebras and other animals. Their diet primarily consists of grasses, and they play a crucial role in their ecosystem by helping to maintain the balance of plant life.
