Wiñay Wayna
Wiñay Wayna is an ancient Incan archaeological site located along the Inca Trail in Peru. It is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,650 meters (8,694 feet) and features impressive terraced agricultural fields, which were used by the Incas for farming. The site is known for its well-preserved structures, including a temple and a series of water channels.
The name "Wiñay Wayna" translates to "Forever Young" in the Quechua language. It is a popular stop for trekkers on the Inca Trail before reaching the famous Machu Picchu. The site offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush landscapes, making it a significant cultural and historical landmark.
