White Hats (Ethical)
White Hats, or ethical hackers, are cybersecurity professionals who use their skills to identify and fix vulnerabilities in computer systems and networks. They work with organizations to improve security measures, ensuring that sensitive data is protected from malicious attacks. Their goal is to prevent cybercrimes by proactively addressing potential weaknesses.
Unlike Black Hats, who exploit vulnerabilities for personal gain, White Hats operate legally and ethically. They often conduct penetration testing, where they simulate attacks to assess security. Many White Hats are certified professionals, holding credentials like Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) to validate their expertise.
