White City Stadium
White City Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium located in White City, London. Opened in 1908, it was primarily used for athletics and hosted the 1908 Summer Olympics. The stadium had a seating capacity of around 100,000 and was known for its distinctive oval shape.
Over the years, White City Stadium also hosted various sporting events, including football matches and greyhound racing. It was home to the London Olympians and the London Wasps rugby team. The stadium was eventually closed in 1985 and demolished in 1986, with the site now occupied by residential developments.
