Wheatear
The Wheatear is a small migratory bird belonging to the family Muscicapidae. It is known for its distinctive plumage, which typically features a pale brown or gray body with a white rump and black wings. Wheatears are often found in open habitats, such as grasslands and rocky areas, where they forage for insects and small invertebrates.
These birds are notable for their long migrations, traveling thousands of kilometers between their breeding grounds in Europe and wintering areas in Africa. Wheatears are also recognized for their characteristic behavior of bobbing their tails and perching on prominent spots to survey their surroundings.
