What to Expect the First Year
The first year of a baby's life is filled with rapid growth and development. In the first few months, you can expect your baby to sleep a lot, typically around 16 to 18 hours a day, waking only for feedings. During this time, they will begin to recognize voices and faces, and their vision will gradually improve.
As the year progresses, your baby will reach important milestones, such as rolling over, sitting up, and eventually crawling. By the end of the year, many babies start to say simple words and may even take their first steps. Regular check-ups with a pediatrician will help monitor your baby's growth and development.
