Western Marsh Harrier
The Western Marsh Harrier is a large bird of prey found in wetlands across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It has a distinctive appearance, with long wings, a broad tail, and a wingspan of about 120 to 140 cm. The adult males are typically brown with a lighter head, while females are larger and have a more varied plumage, often featuring streaks and spots.
These birds primarily feed on small mammals, birds, and amphibians, hunting by flying low over marshes and grasslands. They build their nests on the ground, often using reeds and grasses, and are known for their graceful flight and impressive hunting skills.
