Western Bat
The Western Bat, also known as the Western Pipistrelle, is a small species of bat found primarily in western North America. These bats are known for their agile flight and are typically active during dusk and dawn. They prefer habitats such as forests, grasslands, and urban areas, where they can easily find insects to feed on.
Western Bats have a wingspan of about 8 to 10 inches and weigh around 5 to 10 grams. They play a crucial role in the ecosystem by controlling insect populations. Like many bat species, they face threats from habitat loss and disease, making conservation efforts important for their survival.
