West Virginia Legislature
The West Virginia Legislature is the legislative body of the state of West Virginia. It is a bicameral institution, consisting of two chambers: the House of Delegates and the Senate. The Legislature meets annually in Charleston, the state capital, to discuss and pass laws, as well as to address the state budget and other important issues.
Members of the House of Delegates serve two-year terms, while Senators serve four-year terms. The Legislature plays a crucial role in shaping state policies and laws, representing the interests of West Virginians, and ensuring that the state's government functions effectively.
