Wendat Language
The Wendat language, also known as Huron, is an Indigenous language historically spoken by the Wendat people in what is now Canada. It belongs to the Iroquoian language family and has several dialects, reflecting the diverse communities that spoke it.
Today, the Wendat language is considered endangered, with efforts underway to revitalize it through educational programs and community initiatives. Language preservation is crucial for maintaining the cultural identity of the Wendat people and passing down their traditions to future generations.
