Weaning Methods
Weaning methods refer to the various approaches used to transition infants from breastfeeding or formula feeding to solid foods. Common methods include gradual weaning, where solid foods are introduced slowly while reducing milk intake, and abrupt weaning, which involves stopping breastfeeding or formula feeding suddenly.
Another popular method is baby-led weaning, where infants are encouraged to self-feed by offering them whole pieces of food instead of purees. Each method has its own benefits and challenges, and parents often choose based on their child's readiness and family preferences.
