Way of Saint James
The Way of Saint James, or Camino de Santiago, is a network of pilgrimage routes leading to the shrine of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Traditionally, it has been traveled by pilgrims for centuries, with the most popular route being the Camino Francés, which starts in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France.
Pilgrims walk these paths for various reasons, including spiritual reflection, adventure, and cultural exploration. The journey typically covers around 780 kilometers and can take several weeks to complete. Along the way, travelers encounter beautiful landscapes, historic towns, and a welcoming community of fellow pilgrims.
