Watchtowers
A watchtower is a tall structure designed for observation and surveillance. Historically, watchtowers were built to provide a vantage point for spotting approaching enemies or monitoring the surrounding area. They are often found in fortifications, castles, and along borders, serving as a critical component of defense systems.
In modern times, watchtowers can be used for various purposes, including fire lookout stations in forests and communication towers for radio and television signals. Some watchtowers are also popular tourist attractions, offering panoramic views of the landscape, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Tower of London.
