Washingtonia
Washingtonia is a genus of fan palms native to the southwestern United States and Mexico. It includes two main species: Washingtonia filifera, commonly known as the California fan palm, and Washingtonia robusta, or the Mexican fan palm. These palms are characterized by their tall, slender trunks and large, fan-shaped leaves.
These palms thrive in warm, dry climates and are often used in landscaping due to their striking appearance. Washingtonia palms can grow quite tall, with some reaching heights of over 100 feet. They are also known for their resilience and ability to tolerate drought conditions.
