Wangkatha
The Wangkatha people are an Indigenous Australian group primarily located in the eastern part of Western Australia. They are part of the larger Goldfields region and have a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional stories, art, and practices. The Wangkatha language is an important aspect of their identity, although it is now considered endangered.
Historically, the Wangkatha people engaged in hunting, gathering, and trade, utilizing the natural resources of their land. Today, they continue to advocate for their rights and work towards preserving their culture and language, while also participating in modern Australian society.
