Walter Stewart, 4th High Steward
Walter Stewart, 4th High Steward of Scotland, was a prominent nobleman in the 14th century. He was born around 1293 and played a significant role in the Scottish Wars of Independence. As a supporter of Robert the Bruce, he contributed to the fight for Scotland's freedom from English rule.
Walter Stewart was also known for his marriage to Marjorie Bruce, the daughter of Robert the Bruce, which strengthened his family's ties to the Scottish royal lineage. He became the ancestor of the Stewart dynasty, which would later produce several Scottish kings, including James I and James II.
