Walloon Community
The Walloon Community is one of the three linguistic communities in Belgium, primarily representing the French-speaking population. It encompasses the southern region of Wallonia, where French is the dominant language. The community is responsible for cultural, educational, and welfare matters for its residents.
Established in 1970, the Walloon Community has its own government and parliament, which manage various aspects of life, including schools and cultural institutions. It also promotes the French language and Walloon culture, contributing to the diversity of Belgium alongside the Flemish Community and the German-speaking Community.
