Wallingford Railway
The Wallingford Railway was a short railway line in Oxfordshire, England, that operated from 1866 until its closure in 1959. It connected the town of Wallingford to the Great Western Railway at Benson, facilitating the transport of goods and passengers in the region. The railway played a significant role in the local economy during its operational years.
After its closure, the line was largely dismantled, but parts of the route have been preserved as a walking and cycling path. Today, the Wallingford Railway is remembered for its contribution to the area's transport history and community development.
