Wake-On-LAN
Wake-On-LAN (WoL) is a technology that allows a computer to be turned on or awakened from a low-power state remotely. This is achieved by sending a special network message, known as a "magic packet," to the target computer's network interface. The computer must be connected to a power source and have WoL enabled in its BIOS or UEFI settings.
This feature is commonly used in business environments for managing multiple computers efficiently. It allows IT administrators to perform updates or maintenance tasks without needing physical access to each machine, saving time and resources while ensuring that systems are up-to-date.
