Wadjet
Wadjet is an ancient Egyptian goddess often depicted as a lioness or a woman with a lioness head. She was primarily associated with protection, particularly of the pharaoh and the nation. Wadjet was considered the patron deity of the city of Buto and was linked to the Lower Egypt region.
Wadjet was also symbolized by the Uraeus, a rearing cobra, which represented sovereignty and divine authority. As a protective goddess, she was believed to guard the pharaoh during battles and was often invoked for safety and guidance. Her worship was integral to ancient Egyptian religion and culture.
