Władysław Sikorski
Władysław Sikorski was a Polish military and political leader born on May 20, 1881. He served as the Prime Minister of the Polish government-in-exile during World War II and was a key figure in the fight against Nazi Germany. Sikorski was also a general in the Polish Army and played a significant role in organizing Polish forces abroad.
Sikorski's leadership was crucial in maintaining Polish unity and resistance during the war. He worked closely with the Allied Powers, including the United Kingdom and the United States, to secure support for Poland. Tragically, he died in a plane crash on July 4, 1943, while traveling to London.
