Władysław I the Elbow-high
Władysław I the Elbow-high was a Polish king who ruled from 1306 to 1333. He was born in 1261 and was a member of the Piast dynasty. His nickname, "the Elbow-high," refers to his short stature. Władysław worked to reunite Poland after a period of fragmentation and conflict among various factions.
During his reign, Władysław focused on strengthening the monarchy and expanding Polish territory. He successfully fought against the Teutonic Knights and secured important alliances. His efforts laid the groundwork for a more unified Poland, which would continue to develop under his successors.
