Vitus of Rome
Vitus of Rome is a Christian martyr and saint, believed to have lived during the 3rd century. He is often associated with the early Christian community in Rome and is venerated for his steadfast faith in the face of persecution. His feast day is celebrated on June 15.
According to tradition, Vitus was the son of a wealthy pagan family but converted to Christianity. He is often depicted in art alongside his companions, Modestus and Crescens, who were also martyred. Vitus is considered the patron saint of dancers, actors, and those suffering from epilepsy.
