Viscount Dundee
Viscount Dundee, also known as John Graham of Claverhouse, was a Scottish nobleman and military leader in the late 17th century. He is best known for his role in the Covenanter conflicts and his support for the Jacobite cause, which sought to restore the Stuart monarchy to the throne of England and Scotland.
Dundee gained fame for his leadership during the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689, where he led his troops to a significant victory against government forces. His life ended shortly after this battle, as he was mortally wounded, but he remains a notable figure in Scottish history for his loyalty and military prowess.
