Virgo_Cluster
The Virgo Cluster is a large group of galaxies located about 50 million light-years away from Earth. It is one of the closest galaxy clusters to our planet and contains over 1,300 galaxies, including the well-known Messier 87 and Messier 86. The cluster is part of the larger Virgo Supercluster, which also includes the Local Group of galaxies, where our Milky Way resides.
This cluster is primarily composed of elliptical galaxies, but it also contains spiral galaxies and irregular galaxies. The Virgo Cluster plays a significant role in the study of galaxy formation and evolution, as its diverse galaxy types provide valuable insights into the processes that shape galaxies over time.
