Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo
Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo is a suborbital spaceplane designed for commercial space tourism. It is carried to a high altitude by a mothership called WhiteKnightTwo before being released to ignite its rocket engine. The flight allows passengers to experience a few minutes of weightlessness and see the curvature of the Earth.
The spacecraft can carry six passengers and two pilots, providing a unique opportunity for civilians to travel to the edge of space. Virgin Galactic, founded by Richard Branson, aims to make space travel accessible and has conducted several test flights to ensure safety and reliability.
