Vincent d'Indy
Vincent d'Indy was a French composer and conductor born on November 27, 1851, in Paris. He was a prominent figure in the late Romantic period and is known for his contributions to orchestral and chamber music. D'Indy studied under Gabriel Fauré and was influenced by the works of Richard Wagner and Claude Debussy.
In addition to composing, d'Indy was an important music educator and co-founded the Schola Cantorum de Paris in 1894, which aimed to promote traditional music education.
