Vilasrao Deshmukh
Vilasrao Deshmukh was an Indian politician and a prominent member of the Indian National Congress. He served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra twice, first from 1999 to 2001 and then from 2004 to 2008. Deshmukh was known for his efforts in rural development and education, and he played a significant role in various initiatives to improve infrastructure in the state.
In addition to his role as Chief Minister, Deshmukh held several ministerial positions at the national level, including Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. He was also involved in promoting the film industry in Maharashtra, particularly in Mumbai.
