Viktor Saneyev
Viktor Saneyev is a retired Soviet and Georgian triple jumper, born on June 19, 1945, in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is best known for his remarkable achievements in the sport during the 1960s and 1970s, winning three consecutive Olympic gold medals in the triple jump at the 1968, 1972, and 1976 Games.
Saneyev set multiple world records throughout his career, showcasing his exceptional talent and technique. His personal best jump of 17.18 meters, achieved in 1972, stood as a world record for several years. After retiring from competitive athletics, he became a coach and contributed to the development of future athletes.
