Video CDs
Video CDs (VCDs) are a type of optical disc used to store video and audio content. They became popular in the 1990s as a way to distribute movies and music videos. VCDs can hold about 74 to 80 minutes of video, typically in a format similar to MPEG-1.
VCDs were widely used in regions where DVDs were not yet common or affordable. They can be played on compatible players and some computers. Although largely replaced by DVDs and Blu-ray discs, VCDs still hold nostalgic value for many and are used in some parts of the world.
