VCD
VCD, or Video Compact Disc, is a digital optical disc storage format that was popular in the 1990s. It allows for the storage of video and audio data, enabling users to watch movies and listen to music on compatible players. VCDs typically hold about 700 MB of data, which can contain up to 80 minutes of video.
The format was widely used in regions like Asia before the rise of DVDs and digital downloads. VCDs use MPEG-1 compression for video, which provides decent quality for the time. Although largely replaced by newer technologies, VCDs remain a nostalgic medium for many.
