Vice President of India
The Vice President of India is the second-highest constitutional office in the country, serving primarily as the deputy to the President of India. Elected by an electoral college, the Vice President's main role is to preside over the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India, ensuring orderly conduct of proceedings.
In addition to legislative duties, the Vice President steps in as acting President when the President is unavailable. The officeholder also plays a crucial role in representing India at various national and international events, contributing to the country's diplomatic relations and governance.
