Via Postumia
Via Postumia was an ancient Roman road that connected the city of Genua (modern-day Genoa) to Aquileia. Constructed in the 2nd century BCE, it played a crucial role in facilitating trade and military movement across northern Italy. The road was named after the Roman consul Postumius Albinus, who oversaw its construction.
The Via Postumia traversed various landscapes, including hills and plains, and linked several important towns along its route. It served as a vital artery for commerce, allowing goods and people to travel efficiently between the Adriatic Sea and the Ligurian coast.
