Vervet Monkey
The Vervet Monkey is a small primate native to Africa, particularly found in countries like Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa. They have distinctive black faces and a grayish-green coat, with long tails that help them balance in trees. Vervet monkeys are social animals, living in groups called troops, which can consist of up to 50 individuals.
These monkeys are known for their intelligence and adaptability. They primarily eat fruits, leaves, and insects, but they can also scavenge for food in human settlements. Vervet monkeys communicate using a variety of vocalizations, each signaling different types of threats or social interactions.
