Verreaux's Eagle, also known as Aquila verreauxii, is a large bird of prey found primarily in the mountainous regions of Africa. It is easily recognizable by its striking black plumage and distinctive white facial markings. This eagle typically inhabits rocky cliffs and open grasslands, where it hunts for small mammals, particularly rock hyraxes and other rodents.
