Venus Of Hohle Fels
The Venus of Hohle Fels is a prehistoric figurine discovered in 2008 in the Hohle Fels cave in Germany. Dating back to around 35,000 to 40,000 years ago, it is one of the oldest known representations of a human figure. The figurine is carved from mammoth ivory and stands about 6 centimeters tall, featuring exaggerated female features.
This artifact is part of the Upper Paleolithic period and is associated with early humans in Europe. The Venus figurines, including the Venus of Willendorf, are believed to symbolize fertility or femininity, reflecting the cultural practices of prehistoric societies.
