Vazgen Sargsyan
Vazgen Sargsyan was an Armenian politician and military leader, born on March 5, 1961. He played a significant role in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, advocating for Armenian interests during the war in the early 1990s. Sargsyan became the Minister of Defense of Armenia in 1992, where he was instrumental in shaping the country's military strategy.
In 1999, Sargsyan was elected as the Prime Minister of Armenia. His leadership was marked by efforts to stabilize the nation post-conflict and promote economic development. Tragically, he was assassinated on October 27, 1999, during a terrorist attack in the Armenian parliament.
