Vanguard-class
The Vanguard-class refers to a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines operated by the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom. Designed to carry the Trident II submarine-launched ballistic missiles, these submarines play a crucial role in the UK's nuclear deterrent strategy.
Commissioned in the late 1990s, the Vanguard-class submarines are known for their stealth capabilities and advanced technology. Each submarine can carry up to 16 Trident missiles, providing a significant strategic advantage. The class includes four submarines: HMS Vanguard, HMS Victorious, HMS Vigilant, and HMS Vengeance.
